Ladies Day at Ascot, England €499

An amazing full day experience with like-minded women who, like you are working on their English to take their business to the next level. We’ll drink Champagne, get dressed up, feel amazing in our hats and generally live the life of the rich and famous for a day. (Betting on horses is NOT the main reason women go there)

The exhaustion of having to speak English all day will be nothing compared to the fun that we’ll have at this very glamourous British horse racing event in the UK.

A shopping event at a Berlin coworking space will be included in the price so that we can shop together and of course get to know each other a little before the event.

We’ll get tips and tricks about how to look our best and choose an outfit that suits our figure and colouring and a hat to make us not only look but also feel amazing on the big day.

    Hi Corinne,

I love walking. Unfortunatelly I do not live in Berlin but in Pforzheim in the southwest of Germany. A English teacher recommended your method to teaching English very effectivly.

I am good in reading and listening podcasts. I am semi-good in writing, and I am not at all good in speaking. In small chats or in business meetings I am too shy for speaking because I am afraid that I am wrong with vocabulary, grammar, and pronouncation.

I would like to ask you about posibilities to teach me via Scype?

I will stay 2 month at Pittsbourg in the US in September this year. I will work there for an internship in an academic environment as an event manager. And I will not want to make a fool of myself 🙂

    Hoping to hear from you

    Best regards
    Viktoria

      Hi Viktoria,

I don’t think it will take much to get your English back on track at all. It is great that you were brave enough to write in English, having the guts to put yourself out there, is a huge advantage if you want to improve your English. Activating your English via skype is an excellent idea, I am already working with lots of self employed and other career minded women doing exactly the same thing and if they have an important meeting, or similar we meet online or in Berlin for dinner the night before to get the English flowing, it’s a bit like rubbing off the dust of Alladin’s lamp, 🙂

In our skype sessions I would work primarily on conversation, including small talk and the grammar and pronunciation will fall into place as we speak more, in the language feedback that you receive, you will be able to see and hear any mistakes and improve your grammar and pronunciation with the help of tutorial style videos and audios made specifically for you.

If you leave in September, I suggest we start with weekly sessions now, this should work well interweaved with the reading and the listening of podcasts that you are already doing. I can give you tips on how to maximise on the effectiveness of those two activities too.

If you feel ready to start working on your English , let’s chat about scheduling etc via email, info@bytesizedenglish.com

PS I once taught an engineer that went on something similar in the US and we had an online arrangement for the first month that he was there too, which was a bit like a panic button. This way we could clarify any communication needs as he needed it in the States. This took a lot of pressure off him and our weekly skype check ins were both enjoyable and effective. You might want to consider that option too.

Hi there Viktoria, how is the internship going? I doubt you will make a fool of yourself as such, but you will feel a lot more confident once your language skills are at a level where you feel more self assured about speaking. Being shy about speaking is very natural, we can’t all be chatter boxes like me, but I have a certain way of working with people to boost their confidence and take away some of that fear of making mistakes.

Great that you are listening to podcasts, I LUUURVE podcasts. When do you go to Pittsbourg Viktoria, if you’re not already there?
